Hey! I’m Sheriff R. Dillon. I joined the Sheriff’s Office in October of 2023 and quickly worked my way through the deputy ranks, reaching Senior Deputy within a short time. I remained at that rank for a few months while finding my place within the department, eventually joining the Gang & Narcotics Task Force.

During my time in GNTF, I stayed at the Senior Deputy rank and focused on becoming the best I could within the unit. That dedication paid off, and I ultimately worked my way up to become the GNTF Commander. After reaching that position, I realized I wanted to do more — not just for my unit, but for the entire department.

I was unhappy with the direction CSSO was heading and felt it had drifted from what made it great. So I set a goal to help revive the department and bring it back to its former standards of professionalism, activity, and excellence.

That journey has led me here today as Sheriff 101. As Sheriff, I work every day to develop new ideas, systems, and opportunities to help the department grow, improve, and succeed.
